Sage Green Kitchen Design + Renovation. Northern Beaches Kitchens.

Green kitchens are the epitome of modern interior design style and this striking sage-coloured kitchen renovation highlights how the use of colour can transform a space from ordinary into extraordinary.

The owners of this Avalon home, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, are avid interior design watchers. They were keen to buck with tradition and try something unique when it came to their kitchen and laundry renovation.

Our state-of-the-art kitchen design software gave the customers the freedom to explore different designs and colour palettes.

During the initial kitchen design process, the clients took full advantage of our state-of-the-art software, playing around with different colour palettes and shades of green, providing them with a realistic, 3D walk-around view of their new kitchen right there on their computer desktop.

With the tap of a few keys, we can change the colour scheme, cupboard profile types, benchtop materials, flooring, splashbacks, the list is endless… Best of all, the customer can be confident in their choices because the software gives them the freedom to explore options they wouldn’t otherwise have considered.

We changed the original kitchen layout to a more functional and practical design.

During our design consultation, we discussed the options of changing the kitchen layout to a more functional design.

For this concept to work, we needed to remove a wall adjoining the adjacent living room, creating a seamless and unified flow between the two rooms. Additionally, more natural light flowed into the kitchen, giving it a greater sense of space and proportion.

As you can see from the photos, our kitchen designers took advantage of every nook available to add an additional bench or cupboard.

The step down to the kitchen was the perfect spot for more cupboards and bench space while cleverly doubling as a server, eatery and place where kids can do their homework.

The striking stone benchtop and splashback were enhanced by the sage green, shaker-style cupboards.

The 40mm Laminam Naturali Statuario Altissimo soft-touch porcelain benchtops and splashbacks, coupled with the sage green shaker-style cupboards, were a match made in heaven.

The drama of the stone-look bench, complemented by the cool, calmness of the cupboards, never fails to bring ‘oohs’ and ‘ahh’s of delight from those who see this kitchen for the first time.

We recommended the client install a porcelain benchtop material, rather than engineered quartz, as this eliminates the risk of benchtop burns from hot pots and pans.

We opted for finger-pull doors and drawers as we knew handles would detract from the clean lines of the shaker-style doors.

For the laundry renovation, the owners opted for a more conventional palette

When it came to the laundry renovation, the owners opted for a more conventional colour scheme and design.

To utilise all the space available in this large laundry, we added a roomy guest shower and toilet. Even with the addition of these, there was still plenty of room for washing machine, dryer, cupboards and an expansive Terrazzo bench.

The clean lines and uncluttered appearance transformed the former laundry from drab to fab. The addition of a hidden laundry hamper keeps dirty clothes hidden from prying eyes.

After the laundry renovation, it’s now a space that is no longer hidden away but one that the owners are proud to show off.
